Period of availabilty to the public of the EIS statement ended april 9th
The Environmental Impact Statement for the construction of MPP3 has been available for the public for six weeks. This period ended April 9th. Several environmental groups have taken the opportunity to submit comments. The EIS Commission now has five weeks to study these comments and come to a conclusion. If the conclusion is that the EIS contains sufficient information about the environmental impact, the procedure can proceed. As a result of the questions and remarks the commission also can ask E.ON Benelux to give additional information.
