MPP3

E.ON Benelux already operates a coal-fired power plant with two operating units (capacity 1,040 MW) on the Maasvlakte. The construction of a third power station is in full progress: Maasvlakte Power Plant 3 or simply MPP3 (1,070 MW).

Type of power station

MPP3 is an ultra-modern coal-fired power station using pulverised coal to produce steam at very high conditions (285 bar, 600 to 620 oC). This steam is converted into electricity using a turbine and a generator. Read more
