NRE Energie to gradually become E.ON Benelux
Rotterdam/Eindhoven, 13 December 2005 - NRE Energie will gradually start to operate as E.ON Benelux. With this in mind the words “Part of E.ON” (“Een onderdeel van E.ON”) have been added below NRE Energie’s logo. This change is part of the integrated strategy and market approach sought by E.ON.
The acquisition of NRE Energie by E.ON Benelux was completed in mid September. For E.ON the acquisition of NRE Energie is a first step into the private market for electricity and gas in the Netherlands. Ever since the announcement of the acquisition in June this year the two companies have been working intensively towards an integrated strategy and market approach with the objective of further boosting customer orientation and efficiency. For the time being the current approach to customers will remain in place – that is to say a division between major corporates and the small business and private market.
Step one – introducing the bottom line
Part of this brand building will be the change of name from NRE Energie to E.ON Benelux. As a first step the NRE Energie logo has been underlined with new text. Instead of the words "brings energy to life” this now reads “part of E.ON”.
NRE Energie will now be even better equipped for the future as part of E.ON, the world’s largest private energy company. E.ON Benelux will enable access for NRE Energie to a worldwide network in the field of energy. And the active sharing of knowledge and experience will contribute to the best possible customer service. Meanwhile, NRE Energie under the name E.ON Benelux will still maintain strong links with its traditional marketplace, while ensuring the level of service to which its users have long been accustomed.
