Take-over NRE Energie by E.ON Benelux legally closed
The acquisition of NRE Energie b.v. and NRE Holding’s shares in NRE Q-ENERGY b.v., Carbiogas b.v. and Clean Minerals b.v. by E.ON Benelux is now legally closed. Yesterday, 14 September 2005, all pending closing conditions have been mutually fulfilled.
June 3 2005, E.ON Benelux announced the acquisition of NRE Energie, NRE Q-ENERGY, Carbiogas and Clean Minerals. NRE Energie (the Netherlands fifth largest power company and recently awarded ‘best energy supplier in The Netherlands’) supplies electricity to almost 100,000 customers and gas to almost 175,000 customers. With this acquisition E.ON takes its first step in the Dutch private market for electricity and gas. The NRE Q-ENERGY company (40.000 mostly private customers) delivers energy services to business customers. NRE Holding will continue as a grid operator. The company will be restructured to meet future regulations for the Dutch energy sector.
