Production park
The production park at E.ON Benelux comprises six gas-fired and two coal-fired power stations. The gas-fired power stations are at Rotterdam (RoCa and Galileïstraat), The Hague, Delft, and at Vilvoorde in Belgium. The coal-fired power stations are at the Rotterdam Maasvlakte and Genk in Belgium. In total EBX has around 2,840 MW capacity in position.
The electricity produced at these eight locations is supplied to distribution companies and end-users via high voltage grids.
The power stations in Rotterdam, The Hague and Leiden also supply heating for homes and greenhouses. Meanwhile the RoCa3 combined heat and power plant provides market garden operations with CO2 in the form of cooled and compressed flue-gases.
