E.ON Benelux’s generation sites comprise five gas-fired power stations – Rotterdam (2x), The Hague, Leiden and Delft – and a coal-fired power station at Maasvlakte. Jointly they produce 1,850 MW electricity.
The electricity produced at these six locations is supplied to end-clients via the high voltage grid and the distribution companies.
In addition, the power stations in Rotterdam, The Hague and Leiden supply heating for homes and greenhouses. Meanwhile the RoCa3 combined heat and power plant supplies greenhouse operators with carbon dioxide (CO2) in the form of cooled and compressed flue-gases.
